You thought your new Keto Diet meant you had to sacrafice your sweet tooth. Well that's no longer the case with Keto Kookies. If you miss the days before your Ketogenic Lifestyle when you could eat satisfying tasty treats, get ready for Keto Kookies. These all natural and non-GMO treats fit into the keto lifestyle and keto diet. Available in Coconut and Almond flavors, these sinfully good snacks only have a single net carb per serving.
As soon as we got these in myself and the crew here in the office had to try them. Especially after Finaflex's last functional food snack the Oatmeal Protein Pie's which were a HUGE hit here in the office. Being a huge fan of shortbread cookies myself, in particular Walker's Shortbread Cookies, I was excited to try these.
Just as the label states, these are just like the real thing, smooth and buttery. The texture is great as well, not like many of the dense bad textured protein cookies on the market.
The only negative thing I can say about these cookies, or kookies, is that they're so tasty and the serving size is relatively small, I was tempted to rip open another bag and go to town.
After trying the two flavors, both were great, but the almond flavor wasn't super strong, it tasted just like a normal shortbread cookie. I'm a huge fan of coconut anything, and the coconut flavor was came through much more and was much less subtle.
These Keto Kookies nailed it, which isn't super surprising considering they are high in fat and low in protein. The taste and consistency is on point.
As I write this I'm sitting here trying to decide which I liked better, the Oatmeal Protein Pie's or the Keto Kookies, it's a tough call. I'd definitely recommend picking up a box and giving them a try.
The Ketogenic Diet, or Keto for short, is a high fat, moderate protein, and low carb snack. The keto diet forces your body to burn fats rather than carbs for energy. Your liver breaks down fat into Ketones which are used as a primary energy source. Keto Kookies can be a healthy way for those on the keto diet to enjoy a sweet snack.
