Men's testosterone levels usually peak in their teens and 20's, before decreasing by approximately 1% each year after the age of 30. Some men's testosterone levels decrease too much or too quickly, resulting in fatigue, erectile dysfunction, and decreased libido. In order to maximize performance in the gym and bedroom, it is essential that men have the proper balance of testosterone and estrogen in their body.
Estrogen is commonly associated with women, but men also have estrogen (mostly Estradiol) in their body. Estrogen helps ensure proper body function, particularly joint and brain health. Imbalance of increased estrogen and decreased testosterone can lead to some unwanted side effects. The most common estrogen blockers are aromatase inhibitors (AI) and SERMS.
