Resveratrol is a supplement which is known as a "polyphenol", like those found in red wine, and has powerful antioxidant properties which help to fight free radicals in the body. Resveratrol has long been studied for it's capability to activate the "longevity gene" also known as "SIRT1" which plays a role in the aging process. Resveratrol supports cardiovascular health and may help protect the brain as well as relieve joint pain. Resveratrol can be taken any time of day and can of day, with or without food.
If you are undergoing surgery you should stop taking Resveratrol two weeks prior to surgery and do not resume taking it until two weeks after surgery to reduce the risk of bleeding. Those pregnant or nursing should also check with their doctor before taking Resveratrol
Take 1-2 tablets daily.
